Five-a-side Football

Newcastle United Foundation’s five-a-side football is an alternative provision study programme for pupils aged 11 to 16.

What is five-a-side football?

Five-a-Side, funded by the Premier League PFA Community Fund and the BT Supporters Club, targets secondary school pupils most in need of additional support or an alternative educational curriculum in Special Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units or in mainstream schools.

Using ASDAN’s Football Short Course, Five-A-Side provides an opportunity to develop and accredit football knowledge and skills through a range of challenges in the classroom and on the pitch.

The Five Ways to Wellbeing of connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give is embedded throughout every course.
