Record Numbers Sign Up To Support CEO Sleepout
Over 100 of the regions’ Business Leaders have signed up for next month’s CEO Sleepout at St James’ Park.
With homelessness in the North East up by 18% , two per cent higher than the national average, more people than ever before across the region are set to benefit from the evening’s fundraising.
The executives will spend the night sleeping rough in the stands at the home of the Magpies with funds raised contributing to programmes aimed at supporting homeless individuals and preventing other people from facing a life on the streets.
Sponsorship raised is split between Newcastle United Foundation, Changing Lives and CEO Sleepout UK.
Newcastle United Foundation Fundraising Officer, Kelly Foster, said: “To have a record number of people signed up for the CEO Sleepout at St James’ Park is fantastic.
“The money people raise will support our homeless football sessions as well as our Employability programmes, which support individuals back into work, education or training. The backing of the business community is hugely appreciated and their efforts will help so many disadvantaged people across the region. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you to the stadium next month.”
