Partick Thistle Frame Football Visit Foundation As Level Playing Field Campaign Gets Underway
Partick Thistle’s Community Trust Frame Football team will visit Newcastle United Foundation this weekend as part of the Level Playing Field weeks of action.
Thistle will take on the Foundation’s own Frame Football side in a friendly match before heading to St. James’ Park to take in the Magpies Premier League game against Southampton.
The game comes as Level Playing Field’s new #OurMatchday campaign gets underway to celebrate and champion good access to football grounds and inclusive matchdays for disabled fans.
Reggie Dornan, Senior Disability Football Development Officer at Newcastle United Foundation said: ‘We do so much work with some fantastic disability football players here at the Foundation and it’ll be great to see our Frame Football players being able to enjoy their first ever game when Partick Thistle visit.
‘Level Playing Field are all about encouraging disabled fans and players to engage more with the game they love. Our disability projects have exactly the same aim and we are incredibly proud to support the #OurMatchday campaign.’
Now in its 13th year, Level Playing Field Weeks of Action are designed to inspire and encourage more disabled people to attend live football matches and become a part of the fanbase.
More than 2100 players were involved in Foundation disability sessions last year. Want to find out more?
