Ahead of their next away trip taking them to West Yorkshire to face Bradford City, defender Jess Spark revealed exactly what an away fixture entails for Becky Langley’s squad…
Spark: “We normally just play games and sometimes have a quiz. Also, every new signing has to perform an initiation and that’s always a good laugh to watch.”
Spark: “It can create a constant environment for away days; it’s part of our routine and can get us prepared for the match. It is also somewhere we can have a laugh together and bond as a team.”
Spark: “I always have to go for a little meal deal. I would go for a chicken wrap or sandwich, smoothie, and a packet of cheese and onion crisps.”
Spark: “The biggest joker is Grace (Donnelly). She’ll always have a funny reply to anything anyone says. She can talk to everyone in the team and will boost everyone’s mood.”
Spark: “The smartest player is probably Beth (Guy). She knows everything that’s going on around her on and off the pitch.”
Spark: “The pre-match playlist is either Brooke (Cochrane)'s or Georgia (Gibson)'s music.”
Spark: “Georgia is probably the most likely to argue over a quiz. When we played Chorley away in the FA Cup we had a Christmas quiz on the bus, and when we stopped at the services, we were allowed to take our answer sheets with us. Georgia is convinced that the winning team cheated, but we didn’t!”
