Newcastle United Foundation One Of 10,000 Community Groups To Benefit From Tesco Bags Of Help
Tesco Bags of Help has now provided over £43 million of funding to community groups across the country – with Newcastle United Foundation being one such beneficiary.
The money provided through the initiative was put towards the Foundation’s Football For All project.
The project aims to improve the health and confidence of children, helping them achieve their personal goals, alongside creating a safe, inclusive environment for disabled children to play football.
Funds provided through the Bags of Help scheme allowed the Foundation to update current kit and purchase new equipment, ensuring our projects continued to have a positive impact in the community.
To celebrate the milestone of £43 million of funding being given out, and to raise awareness of Bags of Help, the Foundation and thousands of other community groups have been invited to take part in a Twitter competition.
The competition will see groups tweeting about the projects Bags of Help has supported, with a chance to win one of ten £100 mini-grants.
Keep an eye on our social media channels on 2nd February for more details on how the Bags of Help initiative has helped the Foundation continue to deliver important projects to young and disadvantaged people in the region.
