Foundation Set For Bidvest Taste And Try Festival

Foundation showcase confirmed for Bidvest Rugby World Cup Taste and Try Food Festival

Newcastle United Foundation will showcase its work in the Community at Bidvest Food Service’s Taste and Try Food Festival on Thursday 1st October (12 noon – 7.00pm) at the Rugby World Cup Fanzone opposite the stadium.

The Taste and Try Food Festival, which coincides with Newcastle’s status as Host City for this year’s Rugby World Cup, will include a local suppliers market, opportunities to sample traditional and new Bidvest food products, cooking demonstrations as well as the chance to check out the newest aspiring chefs on the circuit in the NECTA – Young Chef of the Year Competition.

Newcastle Falcons and Thunder players will be in attendance to share their rugby tips and there will be competitions where visitors can win some very special prizes.

Sarah Medcalf, Development Manager at Newcastle United Foundation, said: “We’re very grateful to Bidvest for giving us the opportunity to showcase our work to a new audience at the Festival.  We’ll be taking along our inflatables so people can get involved as well as sharing news from our projects and updates on the work we do.  It should be a great day and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone there!”

Anyone that books using the Foundation code Albert27 will be entered into a prize draw, where winners will be announced on the day.

1st prize – Choice of one of Foundation Football course for the winner and a friend

2nd prize – £50 Club shop voucher
