Foundation Enterprise Programme Receives Funding Boost

Newcastle United Foundation are excited to announce their new partnership with Robertson Facilities Management for the 2018/19 season.

The agreement will see Robertson come on board as the Enterprise partner for four schools in the local area; Benfield School, Walker Riverside Academy, Kingsmeadow Community School, and Joseph Swan Academy.

Pupils from each school will work through a series of enterprise education sessions with a focus on getting them to consider the challenges of running the school kitchens. The sessions, delivered by Foundation and Robertson Facilities Management staff, are designed to give young people an insight into the range of career opportunities available in facilities management.

Robertson Facilities Management have more than 20 years of experience providing the professional support needed to keep buildings maintained and working to their potential.

Melanie Vasey, Operations Manager at Robertson Facilities Management, said: “We are delighted to have formed this partnership with Newcastle United Foundation, which will help benefit children in the local community.

“The bespoke programme has been developed to give the opportunity for pupils to develop their practical and personal skills. The team is excited to deliver this fantastic range of activities that will culminate with each pupil being awarded an ASDAN award.”

Andrew Foster, School Partnership Manager at Newcastle United Foundation added, “Enterprise education is a key aspect of our schools programmes. It’s so important that pupils get a broad understanding of the careers that are out there for them to pursue and that’s a big part of what this partnership will be working towards.

“I want to say a huge thank you to Robertson Facilities Management for joining us as a partner for the very first time and I’m incredibly excited to see the impact the partnership will have on our Enterprise programme.”
