NUCASTLE is a community hub providing sport activities and facilities that can be booked by individuals or groups. We are also the host venue for Newcastle United Foundation programmes and free community sessions for adults and children.
NUCASTLE provides event hire space for groups of up to 70 people for meetings, training days, events, and team building or corporate away days.
NUCASTLE is a children’s birthday party venue, and we offer a selection of Football, Football and Gaming and Fun and Games Parties.

Tuesday: 8am – 9.30pm
Wednesday: 8am – 9.30pm
Thursday: 8am – 9.30pm
Friday: 8am – 9.30pm
Saturday: 8am – 9.30pm
Sunday: 8am – 9.30pm
Facility hours and availability may vary during bank holidays.
For one-off sport sessions, please book via our website. Bookings cannot be taken at reception.

Safeguarding is a priority at NUCASTLE and some people accessing our centre do not consent to be filmed, therefore all photography and filming on site must be pre-approved by the Foundation and only carried out by a verified Foundation or NUCASTLE employee/volunteer. Requests to photograph or film inside NUCASTLE should be made to a member of staff at the point of booking or on arrival at the centre.
Photography is strictly forbidden in the changing and toilet areas.
Free Wi-Fi is available for all centre users. Please ask a member of our reception team for details.
NUCASTLE opening hours are 8am – 9.30pm daily.
We are located on Diana Street, NE4 68Q, just a five-minute walk from St. James’ Park.
Our centre is fully accessible. Toilets and baby changing facilities are available on every floor. NUCASTLE also has changing rooms including a Changing Places Toilet with tracking hoist available on the ground floor.
NUCASTLE parking is located at the rear of the the centre, off Stanhope Street next to Avolon Court. Car parks to the side and front of centre are privately owned.
We recommend Astro trainers or moulded boots for the 4G rooftop pitch but trainers are acceptable. Trainers are recommended as the only footwear to be worn in the Sports Hall.
Thanks to our partners Northumbria Water, we are part of the refill scheme, so you can fill up your water bottle for free. Refill stations are available in the Sports Hall and on the level one corridor.
