Super Movers Launches ‘Teacher Talent Search’

Super Movers has launched a ‘Teacher Talent Search’ – a nationwide search to find primary school teacher with the skills to present a brand new brain booster film for the Super Movers website.

The initiative is a joint effort by the Premier League and the BBC to help primary school teachers inspire children to get more active, and use physical exercise to enhance their learning.

Super Movers brings together stars from the worlds of football, music, and television in a series of fun and free educational videos, designed to get children moving throughout the day with a series of routines and activities.

Brain Booster videos are free, easy to use, fun ways of getting pupils up and active whilst they learn.

Newcastle United Foundation has been supporting Super Movers through its work in local schools, helping and encouraging teachers to use the Super Movers videos in their classrooms – and now we want to help find the next Super Movers star!

Imagine how much fun it will be for your class if a Brain Booster featured YOU singing and dancing your way through a topic linked to the national curriculum!

How do I enter?

It couldn’t be easier to take part, just complete these four simple steps before midnight on the November 5th 2018:

1. Watch some of the Brain Booster videos, find one you like and practice singing and dancing along.
2. Film yourself, alone or with up to one other colleague, singing and dancing along to a 1 minute section of your choice.
3. Upload the 1-minute film to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube or any other social platform you use. Remember to make the post public and tag it #SuperMovers.
4. Fill out this form. Remember to copy and paste the link to where we can find your video on social media.

To enter, you must be a qualified primary teacher resident in the UK and available for one day in December 2018/January 2019 to come to Manchester to make the film at the BBC Studios.
