Star Fundraiser Steph Boulton
Today is ‘Giving Tuesday’, a global day dedicated to giving back. It’s for charities, families, and businesses around the world to unite for a common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
We want to celebrate our top fundraisers for the year, and say a special thanks to Steph Boulton, Director and Founder of First Class Supply, for her continued support over the last season. First Class Supply are one of the Foundation’s biggest corporate supporters, who funded our heritage project ‘Toon Times’.
Steph’s main achievement was completing the Great North Run in aid of the Foundation. She raised a grand total of £1410 last September, which put her in first place for sponsorship.
“I had a great time doing the Great North Run! I was a bit daunted at first as I’d never done it before, and had sustained a bad hip injury with only weeks to go! Still, knowing how many people had donated and knowing I was doing it for such a great cause spurred me on and I’m really pleased I did it! I ran with a friend of mine, Annie Jennings in the end and it definitely helped having a companion.”
This support is greatly appreciated by Newcastle United Foundation, and helps us independently raise money for projects for disadvantaged children and families in the North East.
We are looking for dedicated people to join the Foundation team for the Great North Run 2015. If you are interested, please contact Jen at email@example.com
