Rafa Backs Foundation Auction

Newcastle United Manager Rafa Benitez had the first glimpse of the Lego Model of St James’ Park that Newcastle United Foundation is auctioning to raise funds for the Charity. 

The model, which took around two months to build and consists of over 8500 blocks, can be bid for online until next Wednesday 21 December.  The winning bidder will get the chance to visit the First Team Training Ground to have the model presented to them by Rafa himself!

Fans have another chance to get their hands on this sought after piece of memorabilia by taking part in our online raffle, which is restricted to 4000 tickets and will run until Monday 1 May or until the entries sell out, whichever is first.  The winning bidder will receive a personalised thank you note from Rafa Benitez thanking them for their support. Tickets are priced at £5 per entry and there are packages available to secure multiple entries into the draw.

Rafa Benitez said: “This model is fantastic – the detail is incredible. I couldn’t believe it when the floodlights turned on! This is a really fun way to raise money for the Foundation. I’m looking forward to presenting it to the winner.”

Newcastle United Foundation Development Manager, Sarah Medcalf, added: “We’re always hugely grateful of Rafa’s support and we’re so excited that he has so kindly offered to present the winner of the auction with their Lego® replica of St James’ Park in order to help try to raise more money for the charity.”
