1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year.

The most common types being anxiety, stress and depression. The Foundation’s new initiative will specifically target men in Newcastle, aiming to break the silence about mental health so that more men and their families feel able to talk about it. It will also offer training and signposting to support networks.

The Foundation has recently invested in Mental Health First Aid training,  to support people in workplaces across the city to manage wellbeing proactively and minimise the impact of mental ill health on work and life. Staff at the Foundation are among the first to come forward and their own experiences and their tips for managing their own mental health.
