Free football in Newcastle and the North East

Just turn up and play. Newcastle United Foundation’s Premier LeagueΒ Kicks programme provides FREE football for young people aged 8 to 19 at a number of venues across the region.

COVID-19 UPDATE

As the safety and welfare of all Newcastle United Foundation participants, their families and staff remain of paramount importance, Kicks Β will look slightly different for the time being.

All changes and updates to sessions ensure we meet current guidance issued by the Government and Football Association regarding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Participants or their parents and carers should contact Newcastle United Foundation staff ahead of attending Kicks sessions in accordance with our track and trace systems designed to keep everyone safe. Anyone wishing to attend a session should email jonny.larkin@nufc.co.uk

What is Kicks?

Funded by the Premier League Community Fund and Children in Need, Kicks takes place at a number of different venues across Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead and Northumberland, 48 weeks a year.

More than 2,000 young people take part in the weekly free football sessions every year, helping them achieve their goals through football. Kicks engages young people in constructive activities, increases playing and coaching opportunities, breaks down barriers between the police and young people and reduces crime and anti-social behaviour in the target area.
