Newcastle United Foundation Shortlisted For Talent Match North East Awards 2018
Newcastle United Foundation are delighted to be shortlisted for the Talent Match North East Awards 2018.
The Foundation, along with three of our participants, has been nominated in four of the award categories.
Silke Koch, Alex Leigh, and Dale Graham who are all involved in Talent Match through the Foundation, have been shortlisted for the High Flier, Outstanding Achievement Award and Inspiration Award respectively. Alex was recently the subject of a video highlighting his journey with the Foundation, which saw him go from homeless and unemployed to chasing his dream of being a professional chef.
Newcastle United Foundation has been selected for its work alongside NE1 in the Achieving Together category – the award is given to two or more people or organisations who have worked exceptionally together to help young people to achieve their goals on their Talent Match journey.
The awards ceremony, which will take place on the 17th May at The Assembly Rooms in Newcastle, will be a celebration of the successes of young people, and others, involved with the programme this year, with winners announced on the night.
Dawn Barber, Business Network Manager at Newcastle United Foundation, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted in the Talent Match NE awards.
“For our participants in particular it’s a chance to celebrate all the hard work they have put in with the Foundation and with Talent Match to build up their skills and grasp so many different opportunities.
“The work we have done so far with NE1 has been incredibly successful so far and we’re looking forward to building on that this year.”
