Newcastle United Foundation Holiday Courses for summer half-term on sale now

Newcastle United Foundation is pleased to announce the return of full-day sessions for its upcoming Holiday Courses during the upcoming summer half-term this June.

Holiday Courses are open to boys and girls of all footballing abilities, who can learn, play and enjoy themselves on the football pitch with friends, siblings and Foundation coaching staff.

With robust Covid-secure measures in place, Holiday Courses will now return to full-day sessions, which also includes a supervised lunch break for all participants.

To maintain the safety and welfare of all Newcastle United Foundation participants, their families and staff, Holiday Courses places remain limited and will operate under current guidance issued by the Government and Football Association regarding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Holiday Course places are open to children from Reception age to Year 7, operating from Monday to Thursday as normal, commencing at 9.30am and ending at 3.30pm daily.

Indoor use of venues in Consett, North Tyneside and Newcastle will be strictly limited to lunchtimes and access to toilets. Hygiene protocols will be followed by all staff to maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone on site.

Andy Dobby, Newcastle United Foundation Football Development Manager, said: “We are thrilled to be operating full-day Holiday Courses once again and hope every child joining our sessions this half-term will have a fantastic experience with us.

“It’s been an incredibly challenging time for children and teenagers over the past year, so we absolutely committed to providing top quality football provision for young players in the area who have missed out so much lately through no fault of their own.

“Just like our participants, our coaches are looking forward to getting their boots back on and spending time outdoors too!”

He added: “We’re continuing to monitor Government and FA guidance on a daily basis and working with our partner venues to ensure we are providing a safe and clean environment for our participants, their families and our staff – indoors and outdoors.

“I am confident our professional Newcastle United Foundation team will once again provide a high-quality and enjoyable experience for all of our participants this half-term.”
