Newcastle United Foundation Easter Holiday Courses on sale now
Newcastle United Foundation is pleased to announce the return of its Holiday Courses for Easter 2021, offering children a chance to play outdoors with friends, siblings and Foundation coaching staff.
Holiday Courses are open to boys and girls of all footballing abilities, who can learn, play and enjoy themselves on the football pitch with robust Covid-secure measures in place.
As the safety and welfare of all Newcastle United Foundation participants, their families and staff remain of paramount importance, Holiday Courses this year look slightly different.
All five courses in Consett and Newcastle this Easter meet current guidance issued by the Government and Football Association regarding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Holiday Course places are strictly limited and are open to children in schools years Year 2 to Year 7 (ages six to 12), operating from Monday to Thursday as normal.*
However, to ensure everyone’s safety, the Foundation has introduced three-hour sessions per day for players to join morning sessions OR afternoon sessions.
Parents and guardians are able book youngsters into morning groups from 9am until 12pm for the four-day course, or into afternoon groups from 1pm until 4pm for the week.**
For the moment, Holiday Courses will not include lunchtime supervision due to hygiene protocols on-site.
Andy Dobby, Newcastle United Foundation Football Development Manager, said: “Our teams have been working hard in lockdown to prepare our Holiday Courses and to ensure every child joining our sessions this Easter has a fantastic experience with us.
“It’s been an incredibly challenging time for children and teenagers over the past year, so we absolutely committed to providing top quality football provision for young players in the area who have missed out so much lately through no fault of their own.
“Just like our participants, our coaches are looking forward to getting their boots back on and spending time outdoors too!”
He added: “We’re continuing to monitor Government and FA guidance on a daily basis and working with our partner venues to ensure we are providing a safe and clean environment for our participants, their families and our staff.
“I am confident our professional Newcastle United Foundation team will once again provide a high-quality and enjoyable experience for all of our participants this Easter.”
