Newcastle United Foundation announces United As One Awards Dinner 2021

Newcastle United Foundation is thrilled to host the charity’s annual Awards Dinner at St. James’ Park on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, principally sponsored by Liontrust.

The United As One dinner – an exclusive black tie event – will celebrate the impact of the Foundation in the region and the diverse community it serves, with the support of Newcastle United and extra special guests.

The occasion will see the Foundation honour the achievements of children, young people, families, adults and staff following an extraordinary period in everyone’s lives and a year like no other for the charity.

The ceremony will also induct two former Newcastle United players into the star-studded Newcastle United Foundation Hall of Fame, with guests also enjoying an exclusive auction, four-course meal and entertainment.

Steve Beharall, Head of Newcastle United Foundation, said: “We are incredibly proud of our community and everything our participants, staff and volunteers have strived to achieve in spite of the huge challenges we have all faced over the past year.

“It’s so important we all take the opportunity to reflect on what we’ve overcome and to honour and celebrate those unsung heroes and community members who have made positive changes in their lives and in the lives of other when they needed it most.

“We are looking forward to hosting this special event and hope many of our supporters are able to join us alongside our generous corporate supporters, funders and sponsors of our annual awards – Liontrust, Bidfood, Coors, and Robertson.”

Liontrust – a valued supporter of Newcastle United Foundation – are principal sponsors of the United As One Awards for 2021.

Simon Hildrey, Chief Marketing Officer of Liontrust, said: “We are proud to sponsor the United As One dinner as it is a great opportunity to recognise the fantastic work of the Newcastle United Foundation and the many individuals who support the local community.

“It is also the chance to celebrate the achievements of everyone who has been helped by the Foundation.

“In partnering with the Foundation in establishing and developing the Financial Football numeracy programme for primary schools, Liontrust has seen the tremendous impact their work can have on people’s lives.

“Liontrust has also been delighted to be able to enhance the support we can provide the Foundation over the past year at such a challenging time for so many people.”
