MediaWorks Golf Day Raises £2,000 For Foundation Projects

A Golf Day organised by Newcastle United Foundation partner MediaWorks has raised more than £2,000 to fund Foundation projects.

The event saw a golf tournament, as well as a number of other activities take over the course at Close House, including a penalty shootout challenge against Newcastle United mascot Maggie the Magpie!

The £2,000 raised on the day will be put directly towards vital Foundation projects which help to support disadvantaged young people across the North East.

Yvette Thompson, Communications & Events Manager at Newcastle United Foundation said: “We’re really grateful to the Mediaworks team for selecting the Foundation as beneficiary of the Golf Day and for making this amazing donation.

“The whole day was incredibly enjoyable and we can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity. The money raised on the day will go a long way to ensuring we are able to continue providing support to some of our most disadvantaged communities.”

“ We would like to thank everyone who attended our recent golf day and helped us raise over £2,000 for the Newcastle United Foundation- who are a fantastic local charity who make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged children, young people and families in our region”
