Mark Daglish Takes Up Full Time Disability Role

Mark Daglish has joined Newcastle United Foundation Disability football staff on a full time basis following his recent successful application to deliver via the Northumberland FA and the National FA Disability Workforce Fund project for the North East region.

He has a vast range of experience in both the delivery aspect and Disability partner’s relationships, which will help to both sustain and grow our current Disability football programme.

Nicola Hepworth from Northumberland FA previously supported our Foundation in all aspects of both our Disability football programme and the successful application for both our Blind and Deaf Regional Talent Centres. As a result of both the FA reorganisation and an increase in the demand for women and girls football in the region, Mark will now take up her previous involvement and role with the North East in Disability football.

The official hand over has now taken place with Mark now in post.

Reggie Dornan said “We would like to thank Nicola for the professional way and the obvious passion she had for Disability football and which she supported our Foundation in. From the day I started with the Foundation six years ago, she has been a massive source of support to me personally, for which I am very grateful.

“Mark has been a valued member of the team for a number of years and to have him working alongside me on a full time basis will enable us to grow our Disability football offering at a much greater rate, giving us the opportunity to offer even more children and adults the opportunity to get active through Disability football.”
