Newcastle United Foundation is launching a Girls Only football course for aged children aged between 5-9 years old at the Newcastle United First Team Training Ground from Thursday 23rd March.

The 15 week course, in term time only, will run from 4.15-5.15pm and will help the children engage in sport in fun way, developing fundamental skills and create the foundations of a lifelong love of sport.  There will also be regular opportunities for Mam’s or female guardians to participate in activities.

The sessions are subsidised by the FA to encourage more young girls to get involved with sport.

Course Details

Dates: Thursday March 23rd – July 20th (term time only  – 15 weeks)

Time: 4.15-5.15pm

Venue:  Newcastle United First Team Tent

Age: Girls only aged 5-9 years old

Cost: £15.00

Senior Project Co-coordinator Lisa Bell said: “This is a great opportunity for young girls who haven’t played much sport to try football with the support of our experienced coaches.  We’re really excited to also be able to offer Mam’s the opportunity to be involved in some of the sessions by offering guided walks, health checks and the chance to play football themselves.  The aim is that by the end of the course these children will feel more confident playing sport and will be more open to maintaining a healthier, more active lifestyle.”

All girls must book their place before the first session – book online here: http://www.nufoundation.org.uk/course.aspx?id=801
