CEO Sleepout Newcastle 2020

Entrepreneurs, business leaders and bosses will be swapping their warm beds for a night sleeping under the stars to help tackle homelessness as the CEO Sleepout returns to St. James’ Park with Newcastle United Foundation.

The ever-popular CEO Sleepout Newcastle will return to the home of Newcastle United Football Club on Thursday, March 26th, 2020, running overnight from 8pm until 6.30am on Friday, March 27th.

With temperatures expected to be hovering around freezing in the stadium, dozens of executives will be braving the cold to support remarkable North East charities working to reduce poverty.

Phenomenal figures have been raised during the CEO Sleepout Newcastle in previous years, spurred on by a digital leader board encouraging friendly competition between teams taking part.

Last year, more than £44,000 was raised for charities and organisations across Newcastle including Changing Lives, providing guidance to people in crisis who face eviction from accommodation or losing their home.

For 2020, the trio of charities hope to recruit 50 teams led by senior business executives to help beat last year’s target to fundraise £50,000 and we want YOU to be part of the big night.

For more information on the evening, read our news story, or to sign up, visit CEO Sleepout UK’s official website.

"This will be the fourth CEO Sleepout in Newcastle and I encourage more business leaders to take part, helping us raise awareness and funds for the services needed here in the North East. In this period of austerity, which has hit some of the most disadvantaged in our community hardest, please join us in this challenge - let's beat London's record for the highest amount raised at a Sleepout."

Stephen Bell, Chief Executive of Changing Lives
