Foundation Offering Mental Health First Aid Training

At any one time, 1 in 4 of us will be experiencing depression, anxiety or stress. Would you know how to recognise the symptoms or support someone in need?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid ––MHFA training provides participants with the skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and effectively guide a person towards the right support.

Newcastle United Foundation proudly appointed our first Mental Health First Aider, Ollie Bell earlier this year.  Ollie has undergone specialist training and implemented a number of activities and initiatives across the Foundation to promote awareness of mental wellbeing and to support staff generally.

Newcastle United Foundation is now also offering Mental Health First Aid training in workplaces. If you are interested please contact Oliver.Bell@nufc.co.uk for more information on how training can benefit you and your colleagues.
