Foundation Launches Annual Review 2014/15
Newcastle United Foundation has launched its Annual Review for 2014/15.
This review is not just about who and what, it is about where.
St James’ Park is in the heart of our city but the Foundation is here to take Newcastle United to the local community. In this report we hope to show just how we are embedded in schools and neighbourhoods across the region. The Newcastle United brand plays a vital role in helping us reach almost 50,000 people across the North East and the impact of our work goes beyond the stadium into Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Northumberland.
Last season we established partnerships with 171 Primary, 36 Secondary and 34 Special Educational Needs schools. Through these partnerships we know our sporting and education programmes help young people lead fit and active lifestyles and reach their potential in the classroom too.
We are just as proud of the work we do in local communities beyond the school gates. Last year saw the expansion of Kicks, Football for All and United 4 Employment initiatives in new venues including North Shields, Berwick, Ashington and Walker.
Our team of passionate and committed people grew last year and we now employ almost 50 full time staff. The case studies throughoutshow just how they are helping local people reach their goals through football.
