Foundation Accepts Freemasons Donation

Newcastle United Foundation is thrilled to have received a donation of £2,000 from the Freemasons of Northumberland to support its Football for All programme.

The cheque was presented by Assistant Provincial Grand Master Brian Denton to Newcastle United Foundation’s Business Development Manager Rachel Bickerdike at St. James’ Park.

Football for All breaks down barriers to sports participation faced by disabled people in Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Northumberland, developing skills confidence and motivation to achieve goals for life.

The generous donation will support the Foundation’s Power Chair football team and will be used to purchase kit, bibs, footballs and other equipment.

Rachel Bickerdike, Business Development Manager at Newcastle United Foundation, said: “It is fantastic to have the support of the Freemasons of Northumberland and I thank them for their donation.  It will make a real difference to our Power Chair team, which is attracting more players every single week.”
Brian Denton, of the Freemasons of Northumberland, added: “We are pleased that we are able to support the Foundation’s Power Chair football team and wish them every success in the future.”
