First Class Supply Signs As Foundation Dinner Headline Sponsor

Newcastle United Foundation is thrilled to confirm First Class Supply, the region’s largest independent teacher supply agency, as headline sponsor of its Fundraising Dinner at St James’ Park on Tuesday 1st November.

The dinner, which will celebrate local unsung heroes involved in Foundation projects will also be supported by Newcastle United Manger Rafa Benetez, who along with senior players, will be guest of honour.

First Class Supply has been working in partnership with schools across the region for almost 13 years and is the largest supply provider in Northumberland and North Tyneside.

The team, which is led by Lesley Robinson and Steph Boulton and includes education professionals and ex-headteachers, has built a well-deserved reputation for investing in the community.

The event will also be supported by Food Partner Bidvest Foodservice and Drinks Sponsor Molson Coors.

Awards on the night will be handed out to some amazing children, young people and adults from across the region and will include:

  • Young Learner Award (sponsored by First Class Supply)

Recognises outstanding hard work and commitment from a young person under 16 taking part in one of our school education programmes.

  • Adult Learner Award

Recognises outstanding hard work and commitment from an adult taking part in one of our Adult Learning programmes.

  • Young Leader Award

Recognises the exceptional leadership of young person under 16 who acts as a role model to others.

  • Disabled Player of the Year

Recognises remarkable perseverance, talent and dedication by a disabled football player

The Foundation will also recognise a Foundation Champion and present the second Alder Sweeney Award, in memory of John Alder and Liam Sweeney; Magpies supporters who tragically lost their lives in the MH17 disaster, which recognises an outstanding contribution to grassroots football.

Newcastle United Foundation Development Manager, Sarah Medcalf, said: “First Class Supply are long term supporters of the Foundation and we’re delighted that they have agreed to be headline sponsor of our fundraising dinner. It promises to be a fantastic evening celebrating some wonderful achievements.”

Lesley Robinson, Director, said: “We have been working closely with the Newcastle United Foundation for a number of years and have seen first-hand the life-changing impact that their work has on young people and families.

“Their wide range of projects harness a passion for football and use it to drive-up standards in the classroom and boost activity levels.”

Steph Boulton, Co-Director, added: “Through our partnership with the Foundation, we have been able to offer tremendous opportunities to our partner schools and we get amazing feedback on their benefits from students and teachers.

“We are extremely proud to be supporting this event which will give well-deserved recognition to those unsung heroes whose hard work and commitment are such an inspiration to others.”

If your business would like to attend and support the Foundation a limited number of tables are still available priced from £1595.00 and award sponsorship is also available.
