Talent Match

Talent Match is a free course at Newcastle United Foundation for young people aged 18 to 24 who have been out of work for 12 months or more.

During the 15 week course you will take part in a series of workshops designed to boost skills for work, increase self-esteem and improve physical and mental health.

Each course will include CV and job search skills, physical and mental health sessions, health and nutrition advice, football coaching and fixtures, three qualifications, two work placements and ICT, literacy and numeracy support where needed.

Talent Match is a Big Lottery funded scheme to tackle youth unemployment in the North East. The Wise Group, the portfolio holder for Talent Match North East, has signed up the Foundation to join a consortia of organisations tackling growing levels of youth unemployment in the region.

For more details of how you can get involved please get in touch with Anya Lawrence

"Before joining up to the Newcastle United Foundation courses, I had been out of work since leaving school and wasn't too sure what I wanted to do. Foundation staff helped me to focus on the skills I had and to build upon these and give me the direction I needed. I've now got my dream job working in Hospitality."
