BTEC Futsal

How would you like to represent Newcastle United in a national league? Looking for a career in coaching? Want to develop your skills alongside professional coaches?

Newcastle United Foundation is excited to announce the relaunch of its BTEC Sport Futsal programme.

Delivered in partnership with Heworth Grange School in Gateshead, the initiative is designed to give school leavers aged 16 or 17 a pathway into careers across the sports industry.

Students will represent Newcastle United in the EFL Trust Futsal League and study for a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport qualification, the equivalent of up to three A levels, at Heworth Grange.

It’s not all classroom work though. Students will also receive regular futsal coaching from UEFA qualified coaches to develop technical, tactical and physical ability, and continue their sports advancement alongside their studies.

The course gives you all the tools you need to seek employment in every area of the sports industry, including coaching, sports science, sports facilities management, personal training, teaching, and further education at university.
