Bumper Term For Foundation Schools Programme
The Foundation worked with 124 schools in a bumper start to the new academic year. In total 9365 pupils from 85 Primary, 22 Secondary and 17 Special schools from across the North East have taken part in Foundation football and education projects.
- 1114 key stage one pupils received football coaching through the Premier League School Sports Programme
- 1945 pupils took part in Toon Times workshops
- 200 families completed a Family Football course
Staff training has also been high on the agenda this term with 15 education staff undertaking a four part training session with Northumbria University’s Education and Lifelong earning Department which culminated in a visit to Benton Dene School delivering activities to 80 pupils with special educational needs. 19 football development staff also gained a Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of PE & School Sport.
