Bongo’s Bingo Announces June Date With Newcastle United Foundation Named As Charity Partner!

Bongo’s Bingo is delighted to announce a brand new event on Saturday 2nd June at their regular venue in the city, Boiler Shop, with Newcastle United Foundation named as charity partner.

With all other Bongo’s Bingos events in Newcastle sold out until the end of June this event will give those that have missed out on tickets another chance to play, while supporting a local charity in the process.

Tickets for the event will be priced at £18 per person, with £5 per ticket donated to support the Foundation’s work in the community, including their Disability football programmes and youth projects. Boiler Shop have kindly allowed the use of their venue for free for this special Bongo’s Bingo show which will once more create a night of magic in Newcastle.

The Foundation offers free Deaf, Blind, Visually Impaired, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Amputee, Frame football sessions every week.  Funds raised from the Bongo Bingo partnership will help fund these sessions, attended by over 2200 children and adults every year, as well as helping to subsidise Powerchair football sessions.

Through the Foundation’s Employability team we have supported 225 young people back into work, training or education, including one young girl, who battled drug addiction, anxiety and depression after work closely with our team to gain leadership qualifications, secure work experience, build her confidence and eventually secure employment supporting other vulnerable people in the community.

Overall, Newcastle United Foundation engages with over 54,000 children, adults and families every year through its education, health and community programmes across Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead and Northumberland.  For more information visit www.nufoundation.org.uk

Newcastle United Foundation Communications and Events Manager, Yvette Thompson, said: “We’re so excited to be named as Bongo’s Bingo charity partners – we can’t thank them enough for this opportunity to help raise funds for our Community projects.  Those people that are lucky enough to get tickets will undoubtedly have a fantastic night and we thank them in advance for their incredible support.”
