Blakelaw Ward Community Partnership Continues Kicks Support

Blakelaw Ward Community Partnership is continuing its support of Newcastle United Foundation’s Premier League Kicks project in their area.

Their donation follows their initial contribution to the project last year, towards the overall running costs.

The free football session aims to promote team work, reduce anti-social behaviour, promote healthy lifestyle and increase sport participation within the Blakelaw ward.  Healthy Lifestyle Workshops, as well as Community Workshops, are also delivered by the team. The participants also get the chance to represent their Kicks Project against other Kicks projects in the City.

Steve Mack, Youth and Community Project Manager at Newcastle United Foundation said: “It is great to see so many young people coming together on a Monday evening to simply enjoy their football and experience good interaction with not only our staff, but also all the other participants who attend the session from the surrounding communities! Huge thanks to Blakelaw Ward Community Partnership for their continued support.”

Kicks at Blakelaw Park takes place every Monday night from 16:30 – 19:30 and is free for all to attend.   Come along and join in!
