Barney Jones Talks Coaching Attacking Principles At March Coach The Coach Clinic
The last Friday of March saw the latest in the ongoing series of coach the coach clinics, run in conjunction between Newcastle United Foundation and Northumberland FA.
The clinics have been a huge success since their launch in 2011 and 58 coaches from across the region turned up to the latest session at Cramlington Learning Village to watch acclaimed coach educator Barney Jones offer insight into how a Level 2 coaching certificate translates to the training ground.
Having identified many of the ways that coaches struggle to utilise their level 2 certificates, The content of the clinic was designed to offer an view into how best to use their new qualification with their own teams as well as providing an idea of what the level 2 course will involve for those just starting out on their own coaching pathways.
The content was very well received, as Giles Sandercock, Football Development Manager for Newcastle United Foundation, summed up:
โBarney Jones brought a wealth of experience to the Coach the Coach clinic, something coaches of all levels were able to learn from.โ
The next coach the coach clinic is scheduled for Friday the 24th April:
