Annual Review Shortlisted For Third Sector Award

The Foundation has been shortlisted in the Annual Report category at the prestigious Third Sector Awards.

This category recognises charities that use their annual report to best communicate the mission, operations and achievements of their organisation.

The Foundation’s 2012/13 Annual Report was designed by Newcastle based creative design and advertising agency, Stark Hartley Atkinson and sponsored by IT recruitment specialist Inter-vention. The report tells the story of a “Foundation XI”, showcasing how the charity has made a difference to individual people in the North East. The team of 11 was joined together throughout the document by a giant, knitted, black and white football scarf, knitted by residents from Helen McCardle Care, a Foundation corporate partner.

The Third Sector awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises. Almost 450 entries were received across 16 categories for this year’s awards. The winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on Thursday 18 September.
